We have an opening for a postdoctoral researcher within the ERC project “DIMENSION”. In this project, we want to develop dimension reduction methods to accelerate both the assimilation of data into models and the optimal design of experiments. Although the project specifically focuses on problems in materials engineering, the developed methods will be broadly applicable to a wide range of engineering applications. We are therefore searching for candidates with a strong background and interest in working at the interface of numerical analysis, data science, and computational engineering.
