Hi, I’m Hisham Elzayyadi. I joined CASA at TU Eindhoven on 1 October 2024 as a PhD student. I completed my master’s degree at Cairo University, where my thesis focused on accelerating the solution of linear systems using direct methods on cutting-edge GPUs while ensuring accuracy and stability. At TU/e, I’m expanding my knowledge of numerical linear algebra, with a focus on iterative methods for data assimilation, under the supervision of Dr. Jemima Tabeart.
Outside of my academic work, I enjoy playing chess and am always up for a match. I’m also a professional table tennis and padel tennis player.
