Hi everyone! My name is Debora Falocci, and I joined CASA on February 4th, 2025. I’m a visiting PhD student working under the supervision of Professor Arris Tijsseling. I’ll be staying here for six months. At University of Perugia, Italy, I earned a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and a Master degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. In my PhD, I’m focusing on hydraulic engineering, specifically studying the water hammer phenomenon in complex pipeline systems. My goal here is to deepen the understanding of fluid-structure interaction and integrate this aspect into the modelling of complex pipeline systems. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, going for walks, and exploring new places. Looking forward to meeting you all!
