Hello everyone, I’m Gabriel. I come from Portugal, and I’ve recently joined CASA as a PhD student to work on the topic “Hyperbolic Solutions of the Monge-Ampère Equation”. I have a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. I completed my Master’s thesis in an exchange semester at La Sapienza, Università di Roma. The thesis was inserted in the field of Calculus of Variations, in particular Gamma-Convergence. I also have a Music degree in Jazz Piano and music is one of my greatest interests. In my free time I enjoy running, swimming and playing sports in general.
